This is absolutely lovely. The color and light are wonderful! I imagine they just woke up after an extremely happy night, and Sherlock had to get up and play to express just how good it was for him. :-)

It is lovely, but having been a violinist, a few things caught my attention: his bow grip is wrong and the flat of his hand should not be pressing against the violin. Also, the bow should never go across the fingerboard, only over the gap between the fingerboard and the bridge. Other than that, it's beautiful! :) Hope you don't mind my nitpicking.

I think that this is a very beautiful picture. I love the way that he and the violin are painted and i love the fact that John is in the background obvioulsy looking and listening intently.

If I have one crit, ( and it is only a small one!), I would have done Sherlock's hair a little bit darker. However I still think is lovely and captures Sherlock so well.
